I have been drawing digitally for 3 years. Although I have strong skills in realism, I enjoy experimenting with color, composition, and character design that digital art allows. My style is still emerging as I try out new techniques and refine my art-making process.
inktober 2018
Inktober is a daily drawing challenge that lasts for the month of October. It was started by Jake Parker, who wanted to encourage the online artist community to appreciate the process of ink illustration. I love participating in Inktober, because it is an accessible and enjoyable way to practice and refine my skills. I always see significant improvement in my artwork after the month of October.

original character
Lola is a fictional character that I created in 2017. She started out as doodles in the margins of my schoolwork, and I slowly developed her as a full-fledged persona. She is a preteen girl from the early 90s, who likes to skate, surf, play drums, and get into trouble. In the future, I plan on developing a comic featuring Lola as a protagonist.

I take a lot of inspiration from some of my favorite cartoons and movies. Many people see fan art as childish and unprofessional, but I find it astonishing to see a community of artists come together with a common admiration, each recreating, reinterpreting, and reimagining concepts in a completely unique way.
